Nature Glow Party
July 17th, 2026
8:30 PM
FREE – $5/family suggested donation
Milton R. Owen Nature Center – Osage
Let’s “GLOW” wild and discover the glittering world of Nature after dark! Join Naturalist Chelsea to learn about nocturnal animals, bioluminescence, and the secret glowing creatures around us! We’ll make special “glowing” bug jars and other fun glowing crafts, use special flashlights to go on a glowing animal hunt, and many more fun glow-in-the-dark activities.
To make this experience extra special, wear bright, fluorescent, or glow-in-the-dark clothing appropriate for the weather (layers, close-toed shoes, etc.). Light snacks will be a part of the program, but feel free to bring a refillable water bottle. If rain or storms are predicted, this program will be rescheduled. Contact Chelsea at (641) 330-0765 or crowcliffe@mitchellcountyiowa.gov for any questions or weather-related program updates.
This program is free, but a $5 donation per family is appreciated.
