Hamlin Garland Wildlife Area – St. Ansgar

Let’s celebrate EARTH DAY with a leisurely walk through the woods to admire spring wildflowers! Our walk will begin at 7:30 at the Hamlin Garland Wildlife Area, just north of St. Ansgar on Hwy 218. MCCB Naturalist Chelsea Ewen Rowcliffe will guide you through the evening woods, looking for ephemeral wildflowers, waking spring trees, and returning migrating wildlife. We’ll welcome the Full Pink Moon as we finish our walk. Chelsea will provide ID guides and full moon activities. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes/boots. A water bottle is also recommended. This class is program is free and appropriate for all ages. This program will be cancelled if there is rain or storms.
