Robins Nest Wildlife Area

Welcome to the Robin’s Nest Wildlife Area, conveniently located just 4 miles west of Osage, Iowa. Situated on 80 acres, our wildlife area offers a diverse and captivating natural environment for all to enjoy.

With 60 acres of mixed hardwoods and pines, along with scattered food plots and brush thickets, our wildlife area provides ideal winter cover for a variety of wildlife species. These habitats create a haven for deer, turkey, and pheasant, making it a popular destination for hunting enthusiasts.

In addition to the forested areas, we have restored 20 acres of prairie, showcasing the beauty and importance of native grasses and wildflowers. This restoration effort has also resulted in the creation of shallow habitat ponds, further enhancing the biodiversity of the area.

For nature enthusiasts and hikers, our wildlife area offers a network of scenic hiking trails where you can explore the breathtaking views of the nearby Cedar River. Take in the sights and sounds of nature as you walk through the diverse landscapes and observe the wildlife that calls this area home.

We understand the importance of seamless accessibility, which is why we have provided a large parking area for our visitors. You can easily access our wildlife area from Indigo Ave, ensuring a convenient and hassle-free experience.
